VIRUS ALERTS - Check these sites often for the latest virus, worm or trojan: Symantec Security Response ; or to McAfee AntiVirus. Don't be fooled by virus hoaxes. Check out Virus Myths  before you start eliminating files.

PRIMO SITES-Sites worth your time:

I am going to focus on some of the sites on my WINNERS page for my Primo sites, just for fun. The Winners Page includes sites that are award winners, my favorites and a few former student sites. I think you may find some sites of interest on this page.

The Webbies - Have you created an award winning site or would you like to see what the top award winning sites look like? Or, would you like to be a judge? Check out The Webbies, the most recognized website recognition organization.

derBauer - If you are into web animation, this site will blow you away! Turn you speakers way up, warn the wife and kids and sit back and enjoy. May take you awhile to find it, but be sure to check out the "Portal" in their "Past" projects.

Darwin Awards - This is a site about people who are trying their best to clean up the gene pool. It is amazing what people will do... sometimes only once. Fun site. Check it out!

Atom Films -  Short films in all genres, animation, etc. and it is all free. Parents be warned, there is some adult content to be found here, but a lot of good stuff the kids would like as well.

Hubble Site- There are those who would let the Hubble Telescope simply die a quiet death even though it is still sending back incredible photographs that reach to the beginning of the Universe. If you have any interest in what is out there, or just like to look at amazing photographs, this is a site worth your time.

How Stuff Works- Love this site! Has info on how just about anything works - Not a bad resource for school projects or do it yourselfers either.

POGO - a mega online free game site. I introduced my wife to this site years ago and have to drag her away from her computer. So beware.

The Onion - "America's finest news source". But don't take them seriously. If offbeat takes on world news is of interest, this is the site for you. Has won many awards.

It is summer in Idaho. Last time I wrote, it was the heart of a very mild winter. So  once again I am not doing what I told my students they must do - update regularly. Every six months is not what I had in mind.

But it is hard to sit here at the computer when there are places to go and see and fishing to be done. The top picture is my wife fishing at a spot on the Snake River about 20 minutes from here. A bit farther away, about an hour and a half, is the Owyhee River in Oregon, home of some beautiful Brown Trout. Caught two that day around 15 inches and lost a couple that were much, much bigger...

I have heard from a couple former students who expressed that they are still using this site and hoped that I would keep it open. Still no decision however.

I have updated the  Applications, Backshelf, Jobs , Winner  and Searchin' pages  except for the ads and some sites I will add later.
