This course is an introduction to Dreamweaver MX with a brief visit to Photoshop 7. There will be one take home test worth 40% and an in-class project worth 60%.  Scantrons are not required. Floppy disks are recommended. If you decide this class is not for you, you will need to contact the BT office before noon, the first morning of class in order to be refunded for the class.

Project - You will design a three page "Colorado" website using the links provided below.  Within this "site" you will create:

  • A Home/index page, created with tables with: a text or GIF "header"; a text  navigation bar with two internal links, one external link and an e-mail link;

  • A paragraph of text explaining the purpose of the site and a "Title" describing the site; 

  • Using the larger images found on the images sites provided, you will create, in Photoshop, two "thumbnail" images (the largest dimension being 200 pixels, with text about the images, that includes a subhead with each paragraph  and one of the paragraphs using three bullets (using the Colorado info pages); and two larger images (largest dimension being 500 pixels);

  • Two additional pages that will include the header and navigation bar each with the larger images of the thumbnail  images on the home page which will link back to the home page;

  • A GIF image with your name at the bottom of the page.
